Haridwar KumbhMela 2027
Welcome to the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, one of the world's largest spiritual gatherings on the sacred banks of Maa Ganga. Join us to experience vibrant culture, devotion, and unity.

A Sacred Gathering on the Banks of the Ganga
The Kumbh Mela is held in rotation at Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nashik and Ujjain. In Haridwar, pilgrims, saints and sadhus gather where the Ganga leaves the Himalayas and enters the plains.
According to tradition, drops of amrit, the nectar of immortality, fell at Haridwar. A holy dip on the auspicious dates is believed to cleanse sins and open the path to moksha.
- Held in rotation at four sacred cities
- Poorna Kumbh every 12 years in each city
- Ardh Kumbh every 6 years in Haridwar and Prayagraj
